SUMMARY:D-Feet Hearing Loss Walk- Bemidji
DESCRIPTION:The Minnesota Lions Hearing Foundation and Bemidji Lions Club are inviting Minnesotans to participate in their D-Feet Hearing Loss Walk on June 7. This walk raises funds used by the Lions’ partner University of Minnesota for research\, services\, and outreach about hearing. \nRegistration is now open at the Hearing Foundation’s website of 5mhf.org for either $35 (includes T-shirt) or $25\, with children under 12 free.  The walk in Bemidji on Saturday\, June 7 is from Diamond Point Park to the Paul Bunyan & Babe the Blue Ox statue and back\, about two miles.  Registration starts at 8:30am with the walk starting at 9:45. The day includes lunch\, children’s games\, and live music by the Empty Cooler Band. \nHearing impairment will affect 1 in 10 people in the US.  Hearing impairment impacts all from newborns to seniors by hindering speech\, learning\, and socialization.  Minnesota Lions have raised more than $7 Million to support research and establishment of several programs that include Newborn Hearing Screening\, a Children’s Hearing and ENT Clinic\, Temporal Bone Lab\, Voice Clinic\, and an Affordable Hearing Aid Program.
